The Royal Ramblers has and continues to grow youth rugby in the St Charles and St Louis area and here are some details of our programs. The youth program in our area is the leading youth program in the State with Kansas City and other areas looking to us for guidance and input.

Warrior Youth & Rookie Rugby Club

This program was one of the first youth clubs in St Louis/St Charles and is targeted at boys and girls from age 5 through to 10. The Warriors have partnered with St Charles Parks and Rec to host 3 non-contact camps throughout the year, including fall, Spring and Summer.

The Spring camp will also include the Sunday games against the other youth programs. The Summer camp may involve games against Kansas City and Columbia Youth Programs.

Zach Thorum, the Lindenwood University Men’s Rugby Assistant Coach will spearhead this program with support from the Royal Rambler Rugby Club.

Fall camp will be Wednesdays starting 9/27 to 11-2.

Western Counties Force Middle & High School

The Western Counties Force program is for Middle School and High School players that do not have their own rugby programs. Head coach Colin Heath is a level 300 certified coach and has coached youth programs for over seven years and men’s club rugby for over 10 years. He will be supported by Alexis Mosele, a former Lindenwood Women’s Rugby Star, who has been involved with youth rugby for over 3 years, and Joe Hunter, a current Royal Rambler player and backs coach.

Fall will focus on rugby sevens with planned tournaments in Tennesse and surrounding states and then focus on the Missouri 15s season in the fall.

We value and respect is multi-sport athletes. Rugby is the best sport to enhance skills in all sports, particularly football, wrestling and soccer. We are highly flexible and are happy to work around player’s schedules.
